The Gracefest 5K Fun Run/Walk is hosted by Grace Presbyterian Church to reach out to the Orleans community and to raise funds for Habitat for Humanity - Greater Ottawa who are building homes for residents here in Orleans.

We are quickly approaching the T-shirt deadline for registration on Aug. 20. If you have been intending to register but putting it off, please don't delay any longer. We will be ordering T-shirts on Aug. 21 (nice powder blue this year) according to the registration totals received as of this date. Please help us out by registering now (with all of your friends) so that we can all look splendid on the starting line.

As we head into June this is a quick update on our progress towards  08 Sep 2018.  Registration for our event is now open.  Details and a link to our registration engine is found on our Registration page here.  Before summer arrives with all its distractions, please register and circle the date on your September calendar.  We look forward to seeing you at the starting gate.

It's now the end of April and the members of the Gracefest Fun Run/Walk Committee have finally emerged from their winter hibernation to start planning for our 2018 fun run/walk to be held Saturday 08 Sep 2018 (second Saturday in September). We are hard at work organizing an even better event than we had last year. In 2017 we had 75 participants and provided $7,500 in net proceeds to Habitat for Humanity - Greater Ottawa. Our goal this year is 100 participants and $10,000 for Habitat.

We could not have achieved our past success without the tremendous support we have received from local Orleans businesses, associations and individuals. Two-thirds of the monies raised has come from our generous sponsors and the remaining one-third raised from participant registration. In addition our sponsors have provided food and drink, gift certificates and prizes for the participants. Please check out our 2017 Sponsors page - each entry links to the sponsor's own web site. We would very much appreciate if you would contact our sponsors and send them a short note thanking them for their contribution to our event.

To all our participants from last year and previous years we will shortly be sending you out an email to ask you to pencil in 08 Sept 2018 on your calendar. We understand that the first week in September is usually a whirlwind of activity for most so if our event gets on your calendar in May we have a better chance of seeing you in September. We anticipate that registration for 2018 should be open by mid-May and we will follow up with an corresponding e-mail to let you know.
